Pennello Lane began as my personal journal of artistic endeavours. I paint in acrylic and watercolours, love to take photographs, knit, and dabble in a lot of other arts and crafts.
I’m inspired by striking colour combinations, downtown living, mid-century style, new pencils, old sketchbooks and soft yarn. My love of painting and knitting prompted the name of my blog: in Italian, pennello means paintbrush, and lane is wool.
The “Lane” is now also becoming a showcase for the creative women I meet. These women are making things with paint, fabric, metal, food, words, and more. Some professionally, some are just starting up a creative business, and some create purely for their own enjoyment, but there is much to learn from them all. I love meeting them, and hope you will be inspired by reading about them, too!
